LA-based indie pop artist Elthia writes songs that leave her listeners marveling at her wordplay and vibing to her rhythmic, dreamy style. Inspired by the vocal dexterity of Caroline Polachek and the visual aesthetic of Wes Anderson films, Elthia enhances her artistic image by creating wearable art pieces, like her signature candle-dripped fingers, that showcase a shocking edge emboldened by the complex harmonies in her songs.
In October 2020, Elthia’s debut single, “i love you but you make me cry” went viral on TikTok, generating millions of views online and creating a fanbase eager for her next release. The single received millions of cross-platform streams online and gained critical acclaim from American Songwriter, LADYGUNN, EARMILK, and more.
After Viral TikTok Success, Indie-Pop Artist Elthia Returns With “little delights”
“little delights” is Elthia’s sophomore single, released in September 2021. “The song is about savoring those sweet, beautiful moments with your partner, indulging in all of the things that are really special about them,” she notes. Opening with the lyrics “your image radiates the room, like the sun on stained glass windows”, she reflects on the way one praises a partner as if they were holy.
Elthia explains, “I think of my songs like paintings that draw you in, that you sit in front of and stare at for a long time, completely entranced by them. I want you to listen to my music and continue to get lost in that world.”
